Our Start

I grew up with Yellow and Black Labs and wanted a dog that had their affection, personality and athleticism. I have always loved the looks of the English Bulldog but knew they were not much more than a couch potato which could ride a skateboard and become a vets money machine. After looking long and hard at getting an English Bulldog, my wife Colleen had found the Olde English Bulldogge. She had me research the internet for them. On December 31st 2006 I finally got to meet the Olde English Bulldogge. I put a deposit down on a cute little one that had red splotches on it and would pick it up the following day (New Years Day). We were headed up to Sedona, Arizona to see a Christmas light display on New Years Eve. Even though we had lived in Minnesota most of our lives we froze our butts off! I took tons of pictures of the beautiful lights but I was shivering so badly that they look like a blur. A bad digital camera didn't help either.

The following day we began our drive back to the Phoenix area. Anxious as all get out to pick up my new puppy. We started to work on a clever name for her. Blood, Rock, Red Rock, Scarlet were all candidates but none of them seemed to fit. I even thought Red Bull would have been decent but then decided not for a cute and cuddly girl.  Colleen then came up with "Sedona." Known for it's red rocks and to some, the mystical powers known as vortexes... it was perfect! This was how our love for the breed Olde English Bulldogges started, I hope we can help you fall in love with the breed as well.   ....Gene

Why?

We have been fielded questions from friends, neighbors and acquaintances as to why we love Oldes (pronounced Oldies) and why we would breed Sedona. I figure sees being the web reaches practically everywhere there is electricity, there must be others that would ask the same question. Sedona as with any Olde, is a perfect combination of traits. She is a loyal, athletic, trustworthy, well behaved dog with a great personality.  Anyone who has met her understands the bond between her and I.

The decision to breed her was not an easy decision. I worried about losing my little girl with some sort of complication with the pregnancy. After an absolute ton of thought I decided the positives of breeding her outweighed the risks. I wanted to ensure that her lineage and her personality would be carried on. The selection of stud to use was not rather difficult either, I wanted a male that carried similar traits and a strong pedigree was a definite necessity.  Mischief Arizona's Terri came through with Pudge Factor to sire the litter. With both Sedona and Pudge being sired by an IOEBA Champion (CH Mischief AZ Roscoe P. Coletrain) there was just no way possible to go wrong! So here we are... with 7 gorgeous pups!
